Sauna renovation 2017

Already in 2016, the sauna in the Badria should be renovated and rebuilt. Due to a lack of suitable offers, the construction site was stopped for the time being. However, the detailed planning went further. At the end of March 2017, the Wasserburg city council approved the current plans and gave the go-ahead for the implementation of the complex measures. The conversion is expected to cost a good 1.6 million euros.

Energetic refurbishment and fire protection, but also accessibility and increased attractiveness – with the planned measures, many “construction sites” should be dealt with at once. The entire building shell of the old sauna building is being renewed and brought up to date in terms of energy. In the future, two elevators will ensure that the entire sauna area will be barrier-free. In future, a lift will take you from the sauna changing room directly to the round sauna building. Saunas and relaxation areas are rearranged and effectively separated. With even more space, the rotunda becomes a spacious quiet zone. The saunas in the old sauna building are being renewed, supplemented and added to. In the future it will be possible to dine here in a newly created gastro area. The wellness area – although fine at the moment, is also very small – will be more spacious and accessible via a lift.

But that’s not all, Badria sauna guests can already look forward to many new offers and improvements. From the new steam bath to the foot basin room – great extensions are planned that will make the stay in the Badria sauna world even more attractive.

Sauna area completely closed on May 29th, 2017 – sauna rotunda and sauna garden open again from May 30th, 2017

Preparations have been in full swing for weeks. On Monday, May 29th, 2017, work will begin and the entire sauna area will be closed for one day. The old sauna building and the new outdoor sauna pool will then remain closed until the planned reopening, probably at the end of September.

The sauna rotunda and the sauna garden with log cabin and tunnel sauna will be available to sauna guests again from Tuesday, May 30th, 2017. The entire sauna area will not be closed until mid-August, since work will then also begin in the round building.

Construction site sauna admission prices

Of course, this large construction site will lead to some impairments for the sauna guests. The closure of the old building will not only reduce the offer from the current 6 to 2 saunas, but also noise and one or the other detour is to be expected. As compensation for this, however, there will be very attractive “construction site sauna admission prices”. All valid sauna entry prices from May 30th, 2017 will be announced in good time before the start of construction.
